Physical Education National Curriculum
At Rosehill Infant School we love PE and we aim to provide our children with an engaging PE curriculum to enhance their health, build character, improve wellbeing and support them to fulfil their potential. We believe that PE forms the foundation for the growth of the whole child and provides opportunities for children to develop their personal and social skills. We aim for all our children to thoroughly enjoy participating in sports and encourage them to try new activities and find a sport which they are passionate about. We have carefully designed our PE curriculum to expose the children to a wide range of sports activities during their time at our school. We also provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities to engage and inspire children in PE and healthy living. Children can participate in clubs such as , yoga, dance, football, multi skills and cooking; we host a wide variety of enrichment activities including Health Weeks and Sports Days. We promote an active lifestyle through our daily teaching by encouraging children to participate in exercise throughout the school day by using active brain breaks, running and supported activities in the playground. We hope that all of our children leave Rosehill Infant School with the knowledge they need to lead healthy lives and have a passion for sports and fitness.
We have a number of clubs available throughout the year, some are run by school staff and some by Derby community trust. Keep an eye out for more information coming home via your child's book bag and class DOJO

We use Derby County Community Trust for some our clubs and PE lessons. They provide high quality coaches who work with our teaches and teaching assistants to help us to learn new sports.
